Tequila Party grap loopt uit de hand in Rotterdam

De Rotterdamse Tequila Party die op maandag 23 maart werd aangekondigd door een aantal Rotterdamse vrienden gaat viraal. Het Facebook-event is ontstaan als een grap als reactie op het filmpje waarin directeur Nationale Veiligheid van Paramaribo Danielle Veira burgers waarschuwt om niet naar een Surinaamse tequilaparty te gaan. Inmiddels hebben 3000 mensen zich aangemeld.

Tiara Maitimu is één van de organisatoren die met haar vrienden grapte over de ‘DOE HET’ uitspraak van Danielle Veira. “Waarom organiseren wij geen evenement?”, vroeg Tiara aan haar vrienden in de app Houseparty, “Laten we voor de grap zaterdag 3 juli 2021 van maken.” Eén van de vrienden deelde het feest middernacht op Facebook. Tot verbazing van het team is er veel animo, want ongeveer 3000 mensen zijn al geïnteresseerd. Na alle reacties is er volgens Tiara en haar team echt behoefte aan het feest. “Mensen hebben niks te doen”, vertelt Tiara. Het team bestaat onder andere uit Darryl Antunez, Jair Umarella Samallo en Jonavon Kartowikromo van Apollo en Sammie Sedano die hun krachten bundelen, omdat de meeste vaker evenementen hebben georganiseerd.

Voorlopig kan je een feestje wel vergeten nu alle Rotterdamse clubs, zoals Annabel, Superdisco, Maassilo dicht zijn tot maandag 1 juni vanwege het coronavirus. De locatie en de line up van de Tequila Party zijn nog niet bekend. Als de overheid na 1 juni toestemming geeft, verplaatst het clubevenement zo snel mogelijk naar juni 2020. Tot die tijd gaat de voorpret online verder.
